Mo-CS Mosaic Custom Medium $525 Sybil Sage, a specialist in the French mosaic style, pique assiette, has brought her creativity to cremation urns, transforming a metal urn by applying a beautiful mosaic design and photo montage of the pet to preserve the animal's presence in the home.  The design is done on a metal urn (brass or silver toned) with a threaded lid. She devised a process that allows her to integrate photos supplied by client, who can specify colors to coordinate with any decor and color scheme. Ms. Save devised a process that allows her to integrate photos into the mosaic. She will use other meaningful items and add a whimsical touch by tying on the dog's tags.  An urn can be ordered in advance or when needed, requiring a minimum of three weeks. Ms. Sage was introduced to pique assiette (translates loosely to broken plates) fifteen years ago, going on to develop a style of her own, designing vases, lamps, picture frames, planters, candlestick holders and, more recently, urns - for pets and for people. The process is laborious as she meticulously nips plates, treating the tiny pieces as paint, ultimately grouting it in a color to enhance its beauty.
